Heraion Sanctuary

The tradition said that in this village goddess Hera was born and grew up. This is why a sanctuary to Hera (Heraion) was constructed in the ancient times. The temple was destroyed in the 6th century BC for an unknown reason. Its renovation was never completed. Later on, the sanctuary was turned into a Christian church.
